Mr. Bill Larkin, who has more than 25 years of experience in hospital pharmacy management, joined the GNYHA Services, Inc. staff in 1992. Formerly, he was the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations at Lenox Hill Hospital and served as GNYHA Services, Inc. Pharmacy Hospital Committee Chairman for four years.
During Mr. Larkin’s tenure at GNYHA Services, Inc., the pharmaceutical contract and clinical programs have grown exponentially across a highly compliant 175-plus, hospital member base. As a group affiliate of Premier Purchasing Partners, GNYHA Services contributes significantly to Premier's Pharmacy Program performance in the metro New York-New Jersey area. Mr. Larkin continues to serve Premier as a member of its National Pharmacy Committee (NPC), Plasma Products, IV and Wholesaler Task Forces. In a parallel role, Mr. Larkin serves as Group Vice Preisdent to Innovatix, a highly successful and growing national alternate-site group purchasing joint-venture with Premier Purchasing Partners. Innovatix serves the needs of home health care, long term care facilities, closed-door pharmacy providers, and physicians. In addition to his Premier service, Mr. Larkin also sits on the Health Industry Group Purchasing Association’s (HIGPA) Pharmacy Policy Committee.
Mr. Larkin is a registered pharmacist and received his B.S. Pharmacy Degree from St. John’s University. He also holds a Master's Degree in pharmaceutical marketing from Long Island University’s Schwartz College of Pharmacy and is an active member of NYSCHP and ASHP.
Dr. Shlom has been managing the Clinical Pharmacy Program at GNYHA Services since 1995. Prior to GNYHA Services, Dr. Shlom completed ASHP-accredited hospital pharmacy residencies at Duke University Medical Center and the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. She worked for 10 years at institutions including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital. Under her direction, the GNYHA Services Clinical Pharmacy team provides programs to assist members in providing cost-effective and safe medication use. Bimonthly meetings provide an opportunity for members to discuss formulary concerns, regulatory compliance, and clinical pharmacy practice management issues. The clinical team provides a number of value-added services, including newsletters, monthly ACPE-accredited pharmacy teleconferences, member-requested surveys, and a robust Web site containing pharmacy focused tool kits. In addition to her work at GNYHA Services, Dr. Shlom currently sits on the Board of Directors of the NYSCHP as Director of Education and Workforce Development and she also provides representation for GNYHA Services on the Premier Medication Management Subcommittee.
Mr. David Grish works closely with GNYHA Services members for all pharmacy related matters concerning, but not limited to, pricing issues, distribution, and cost savings opportunities. He communicates daily with members, distributors, manufacturers, and Premier. Mr. Grish has been instrumental in changing the level of support and customer service provided to the GNYHA Services members. Prior to joining GNYHA Services in 2000, Mr. Grish worked for Neuman Distributors as the Hospital Operations Manager, dealing with all aspects of institutional service issues and group purchasing organization interface. Other work experience includes 10 years as the Pharmacy Procurement Agent at Wayne General Hospital.
Mr. Joseph Mislowack joined the GNYHA Services Pharmacy Staff in 2000. He came to GNYHA Services with extensive pharmacy management experience, having served as Associate Director of Pharmacy at Maimonides Medical Center for 10 years and, most recently, as Director of Pharmacy at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn for eight years. Mr. Mislowack also served as the GNYHA Services Pharmacy Committee Chairman from 1992–96. Mr. Mislowack is responsible for identifying and facilitating opportunities for health systems, as well as individual member sites, to reduce pharmaceutical costs through Premier contracts. As network facilitator, Mr. Mislowack manages the day-to-day exchange of information, contract implementation, and formulary standardization. Mr. Mislowack’s educational background includes completion of an Executive Management program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, and an M.S. degree in Hospital Administration at the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Brooklyn.
Dr. Leila Tibi, Pharm.D., has worked with the GNYHA Services pharmacy team since 2003. Dr. Tibi serves as a field-based liaison to the GNYHA Services Pharmacy Program for the Bronx, Upstate New York, and New Jersey region. Dr. Tibi is responsible for assisting member hospitals in identifying cost-effective and clinically sound opportunities in reducing pharmaceutical costs through maximization of the Premier pharmaceutical contract portfolio and GNYHA Services Regional Enhancement Programs. Dr. Tibi earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University and previously worked as a staff pharmacist in both hospital and community pharmacies in southern Nevada. She was formerly the Senior Clinical Pharmacy Specialist within the GNYHA Services Pharmacy Program.
Dr. Watson joined GNYHA Services in 2007. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from St. John’s University, she specialized as a pediatric pharmacist for 10 years and in 2001 earned her doctoral degree in pharmacy at St. John’s University. Dr. Watson works with GNYHA Services members in answering drug information based questions, managing the bimonthly Clinical Pharmacy Subcommittee meetings and the monthly Clinical Pharmacy News Alert. Dr. Watson also keeps the members abreast of new drug approvals, patent expirations and first-time generic medications entering the market. Dr. Watson works with health-system clinical pharmacy subcommittees to help facilitate formulary initiatives. Dr. Watson completed an Ortho Biotech/St. John’s University drug information practice residency and has experience in academia, hospital, and industry drug information.

Dr. Sudha Narayanaswamy joined GNYHA Services in 2008 after completing a specialty residency in Geriatrics at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (KJMC). She also worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at KJMC as well as St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Narayanaswamy conducts member surveys, prepares white papers/resource guides, contributes articles to the Clinical Pharmacy News Capsule newsletter, and designs drug information brochures. Dr. Narayanaswamy also prepares tool kits for the GNYHA Services Pharmacy Web site on member-oriented, key pharmacy topics such as therapeutic interchange and anticoagulation. Each member of the GNYHA Services Clinical Pharmacy team also address member-specific drug information calls.
Mr. Lap Chang joined the GNYHA Services team in 2004. Mr. Chang came to GNYHA Services with more than 15 years of pharmacy GPO experience. He worked at organizations such as Joint Purchasing Corporation in New York City and Kinray Distributors. At GNYHA Services, Mr. Chang manages and maintains the GNYHA Services Business Management database, forecasts and identifies cost-savings opportunities, and prepares cost-analyses for members. In addition, Mr. Chang acts as a liaison with customers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and Premier on a variety of contract related issues.
Mr. Peter Boucher joined the GNYHA Services Pharmacy team in 2007. As Director of Pharmacy Data Analytics, Mr. Boucher is charged with creating a report structure to assist hospitals with contract purchasing, maintaining market share requirements of performance-based programs, as well as identifying members eligible for GNYHA Services Regional pharmacy performance programs. Previously, Peter was the Rebate Program Manager at both Innovatix, LLC (2002–06) and MHA (1995–2002) and comes to GNYHA Services with a wealth of knowledge regarding rebate tracking and reporting.
Mr. Phil Dickinson joined the GNYHA Services Pharmacy team in 2004. Mr. Dickinson came to GNYHA Services with more than 20 years of pharmacy experience. He worked as a pharmacy technician for St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital and Passaic General Hospital. Mr. Dickinson ensures correct contract pricing by communicating with wholesalers and manufacturers to resolve any issues or discrepancies. He also assists members with rebate program administration, back order reimbursement, market share, and conversion analysis.
Mr. Larry Cox joined the GNYHA Services Pharmacy team in 2005. Mr. Cox came to GNYHA after serving as the Purchasing and Inventory Manager at NYU Medical Center/Tisch Hospital. He has more than 20 years of pharmacy experiences. Mr. Cox communicates with wholesalers and manufacturers on the customer's behalf to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Mr. Cox also assists members with rebate program administration, back order reimbursement, market share, and conversion analysis.
