Ms. Susan C. Waltman, Esq., is Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA). Ms. Waltman is responsible for all legal, regulatory, and professional affairs matters involving GNYHA and its affiliated corporations and is the Compliance Officer for GNYHA Ventures and its subsidiaries. In addition, she oversees GNYHA’s emergency preparedness and response activities on behalf of its members. Ms. Waltman has taught health law courses at New York University School of Law and Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining GNYHA in 1987, Ms. Waltman was General Counsel at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and had worked at the Philadelphia law firm of Drinker, Biddle and Reath. Ms. Waltman earned her J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law and holds A.B. and M.S.W. degrees from the University of Georgia.
Ms. Lori R. Levinson, Esq. is Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of GNYHA Ventures, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Greater New York Hospital Association. Ms. Levinson, who has been with GNYHA Services for 13 years, is responsible for the legal issues relating to GNYHA Services’ businesses, including its group purchasing services and other business ventures. She also serves as the Deputy Compliance Officer for GNYHA Ventures and its subsidiaries and as the Compliance Officer for Innovatix, LLC, an affiliate of GNYHA Ventures. Ms. Levinson is a cum laude graduate of Duke University and holds a law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University. She is a member of the bar in New York State and admitted to practice in the Appellate Division, 2nd Department and the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Ms. Levinson worked in private practice and in various roles relating to legislation and public policy, including as legislative counsel for the New York City Office of Management and Budget.
Mr. Corey Ackerman, Esq., has worked with GNYHA Services since 2002, providing legal assistance to GNYHA Services’ business units. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Ackerman worked on corporate and securities matters as an associate in the New York office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., where he worked on corporate and securities matters. Prior to that, Mr. Ackerman worked as a corporate associate at Gordon, Altman, Weitzen, Shalov & Wein LLP in New York. Mr. Ackerman earned his B.S. from Cornell University and his law degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor of St. John’s Law Review.
