Ms. Donna Gammarato has worked with GNYHA Services since 1996. Ms. Gammarato is responsible for client services and marketing/communications for the GNYHA Services/Premier Group Purchasing Program. In this role, Ms. Gammarato helps participating members achieve their supply chain goals through contract optimization and strategic use of program tools, technologies and solutions. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Ms. Gammarato was the Associate Executive Director for Materials Management at Elmhurst Hospital Center where her responsibilities included Purchasing, Distribution, Receiving, Central Sterile, and Linen Services. Ms. Gammarato chaired numerous committees at the hospital during her tenure including the hospital’s Hazardous Materials Committee, which developed policies and procedures for the safe handling and purchases of hazardous materials; the Forms Management Committee; and New Product Committee. Ms. Gammarato earned her B.A. from Queens College and certification as Materials & Resource Professional from the American Hospital Association and is a member of the American Hospital Association of Materials Managers (AHRMM).

Jay Fligstein, C.M.R.P., Assistant Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Client Services

Mr. Jay Fligstein joined GNYHA Services in the fall of 2005 as a Strategic Client Service Executive. In this role, Mr. Fligstein works with our member hospitals to review our contract portfolio (Regional and Premier Contracts) and to outline and develop supply chain projects and savings plans. He has also assisted with projects that join GNYHA Services/Premier technologies with materials management information systems, bringing full automation and integration to the contracting and ordering processes to help our members manage and reduce supply costs. Other responsibilities include coordination and support of our Supply Focus benchmarking tool. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Fligstein worked as a materials executive where he had operations responsibility for Supply Chain management. He led an enterprise-wide MMIS deployment, point-of-use technology implementation, and supply chain automation as well as multi-million dollar cost savings plans. Mr. Fligstein earned his B.S. in Health Care Administration from the SUNY at Old Westbury.

Daniel Dunphy, Director, Supply Chain Services

Mr. Daniel M. Dunphy has worked with GNYHA Services since 2004. Working with HANYS and upstate regional hospital associations, Mr. Dunphy is responsible for recruiting acute care facilities to the new statewide GNYHA Services/Premier GPO. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Dunphy worked at the Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mt. Vernon, NY, as Director of Facility Planning & Operations. Prior to that, Mr. Dunphy spent 14 years at the Hospital for Special Surgery starting out as its Director of Material Management and advancing to Assistant Vice President for Administration (Facilities) where he managed all new construction and renovation projects. Mr. Dunphy earned his B.A. from Northwestern University and M.P.A. from New York University.

Yasmin Ahmad, Client Service Executive

Ms. Yasmin Ahmad joined GNYHA Services in July 2005. Ms. Ahmad is responsible for providing Client Services to our member hospitals and works collaboratively with supply chain executives to reduce cost while improving supply chain efficiencies. These collaborative initiatives include client support for the GNYHA Services/Premier portfolio, savings plans implementation, and assistance in other specialty areas such as lab, clinical, and technology. Ms. Ahmad holds an M.B.A. in Management and a B.A. in English and Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University.

Michelle DeLong, Coordinating Manager, Marketing and Communications

Ms. Michelle DeLong joined GNYHA Services in the summer of 2008. Ms. DeLong is responsible for the coordination of member events, as well as the creation and distribution of important member communications involving new contract announcements, GNYHA Services updates, and the latest in supply chain news. Prior to GNYHA Services, Ms. DeLong served for three years as the Member Relations Manager at PinnacleCare, a health care advocacy company based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. DeLong earned a B.A. with a concentration in Communications and Public Relations from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Jay Edmond, Director, Food Services and Client Service Executive

Mr. Jay Edmond has worked with GNYHA Services since 2005. Mr. Edmond is responsible for GNYHA Services' Food & Nutrition program, which includes Client Services and Regional Contracting. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Edmond worked for U.S. Foodservice for six years as the Director of Healthcare, managing all the health care accounts in the northeast region. Prior to that, Mr. Edmond worked for Aramark Corporation for 10 years in several capacities including that of a general services director, managing multiple departments including Food & Nutrition, Environmental Services, Linen & Laundry & Transport.

Renata Frystock, Client Service Executive

Ms. Renata Frystock began her career with GNYHA Services in 2004. Ms. Frystock is responsible for servicing GNYHA Services’ member accounts in New Jersey, Staten Island, and Brooklyn, working collaboratively with materials executives to reduce supply and equipment expenditures and improve supply chain efficiencies. Past experiences include Joint Purchasing Corporation, as the Director for Regional Healthcare Network Services of Coastal Cooperative, a joint venture with Meridian Health System and Joint Purchasing Corporation and various managerial positions within Materials Management at Meridian Health System. Ms. Frystock earned her B.S. from Montclair State College.

Mr. C.J. LaCosta has been with GNYHA Services since May 2005. Mr. LaCosta is responsible for working with member hospital supply chain executives to identify and implement supply chain goals. These collaborative activities are further supported by additional GNYHA Services resources that address -Laboratory, Clinical (Physician Preference), and Med/Surg areas. Mr. LaCosta comes to GNYHA Services after more than six years of consultative sales experience across multiple industries. Mr. LaCosta earned his B.A. from Coastal Carolina University.

Mr. Lawrence Mandel has worked with GNYHA Services since 1997. Mr. Mandel is responsible for servicing GNYHA Services’ member accounts in Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn, working collaboratively with Materials Executives to reduce supply and equipment expenditures and improve supply chain efficiencies. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Mandel worked for Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as the Senior Buyer for Materials Management. Prior to that, Mr. Mandel worked at Elmhurst Hospital Center as the Assistant Director of Materials Management.

Michelle Pollack, R.N., Imaging Specialist

As a part of the GNYHA Services team in 2007, Ms. Michelle Pollack, R.N., works with several of our Integrated Delivery Network members to help them maximize their GNYHA Services/Premier contracts and benefits, and provide ongoing supply chain strategy support. Ms. Pollack also develops imaging programs to bring value to members and contract suppliers such as technology updates, educational programs, and quote analysis. Prior to her current position, Ms. Pollack worked in imaging for 15 years, first as a magnetic resonance sales specialist with GE Healthcare, then as a Toshiba America Medical Systems cat scan (CT) sales specialist. Prior to that, Ms. Pollack, a registered nurse, brings 10 years experience as a nurse manager at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Ms. Pollack earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from New York University.

Janet Silva-Soto, PMDF Coordinator

In her role as Premier Member Designation Form (PMDF) Coordinator, Ms. Janet Silva-Soto manages the PMDF process for Physician Preference contracts. She works closely with Client Service Executives, Premier vendors, and Premier to ensure account reconciliation and member access to special pricing and rebate programs. In addition to this, she also assists in various value analysis projects, which identify potential savings for the GNYHA Services membership. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Ms. Silva-Soto worked for Innovatix, LLC where she started out as Senior Account Manager and advanced to Manager, Member Audits where she managed the member audit process and assisted members to maximize savings. Ms. Silva-Soto holds a M.S.A. in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University and a B.A. in Health Science from Brooklyn College.

Raul Tosado, C.M.R.P., Senior Client Service Executive

Mr. Raul Tosado has worked at GNYHA Services since 2001. Mr. Tosado is responsible for providing Client Services to those GNYHA Services/Premier member hospitals that utilize the GPO portfolio. His primary role is to assist the members to demonstrate value by using contracts that can save the hospitals with their goals to reduce cost in supply chain. Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Tosado was the Director of Material Manager at Barnert Hospital and was responsible for all the supply chain initiatives. Mr. Tosado has 23 years of experience working at various health care facilities throughout New Jersey. Mr. Tosado has earned his B.S. from Jersey City State College.

Ann Vayos, Strategic Client Services Executive

Ms. Ann Vayos is the Strategic Client Services Executive for HHC Central Office. In her current position, she focuses on identifying savings opportunities available to HHC through GNYHA Services Enhanced Local Agreements and Premier Contracts, while also assisting them in meeting some of their goals, e.g., moving towards a centralized process.

Ms. Vayos’ background has been in the health insurance and pharmaceutical/medical-surgical distribution industries for more than 20 years. Previously, she held the position of Assistant Director of Projects, Purchasing and Supplier Diversity at HIP Health Insurance Plan of NY. At HIP, she implemented several cost savings opportunities, negotiated national contracts resulting in multi-million dollar savings, assisted in standardizing products and contracts across company business units, managed projects which involved leading a team to successfully build and furnish new Medical Center facilities.

Ms. Vayos is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook University and is a Certified Lean Facilitator. She was able to utilize her Lean skills during her last position, facilitating a cross-functional team to re-evaluate their current business process, eliminating rework, reducing lead time, and ultimately meeting the customer’s timelines and requirements.

David Wolf, Client Service Executive

Mr. David Wolf joined GNYHA Services in June 2007. Mr. Wolf is responsible for servicing GNYHA Services’ member accounts in Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn, working collaboratively with Materials Executives to reduce supply and equipment expenditures and improve supply chain efficiencies. Most recently, Mr. Wolf worked as a Senior Financial Analyst providing the analytics necessary to enhance the GNYHA Services regional contracting effort and also assisting our members to maximize the value of the GNYHA Services Group Purchasing Program.  Prior to joining GNYHA Services, Mr. Wolf spent more than five years as both an equity analyst and trader on Wall Street. Mr. Wolf earned his B.S. in Economics from New York University.
