They develop tools, contracting opportunities, and education options to help members manage the clinical aspects that affect their purchasing decisions. Here are a few examples of the type of support they provide:
- Clinical Update Series are monthly educational seminars, created specifically for our region’s clinical and materials staff. Key suppliers provide educational, non-commercial content on a wide array of subjects. These seminars are provided free of charge to all GNYHA members regardless of their participation in the GNYHA Services/Premier group purchasing program.

These publications provide timely and relevant information on clinical product categories and include product overviews, contract summary information, sign-on documents, and suggested contract implementation plans.
- Clinical Focus is a set of no-cost supply chain benchmarking tools that provide an accurate snapshot of a facility's current pricing and opportunities for cost savings on physician preference items. Participants receive a benchmarking report with data presented in an easy-to-understand graphic format, comparing a facility's cost to the minimum, average and maximim costs in the database. There are three tools: CardiacFocus, OrthoFocus and SpineFocus.
- Clinical Reviews are annual business reviews provided for members that focusing on clinical products. Various electronic communications, including the GNYHA Services Clinical e-Bulletin.
