Premier’s SpendAdvisor

SpendAdvisor is the analytics component of Supply Chain Advisor. The analytics performed by SpendAdvisor are based on purchase order data submitted by participating Premier members on a monthly basis. SpendAdvisor identifies potential savings based on price parity, pricing benchmarks, conversion opportunities, and improved procurement practices.

Key Facts:

  • Analyze total supply spend and identify savings opportunities
  • Identify product, contract, or supplier conversion opportunities, and monitor conversion progress for all facilities
  • Perform departmental, facility, and system level analysis of spending patterns and monitor contract utilization
  • Identify opportunities to develop locally negotiated agreements
  • Ensure that all facilities within a health system are paying a consistent price for the same product
  • Optimize existing contracts by identifying opportunities to consolidate purchases within a given category
  • Track on, off, and non-contract spending patterns
  • Compare prices to national benchmarks

GHX’s Connect Plus

GHX’s Connect Plus provides an electronic data interface (EDI) connection to send electronic Purchase Order or Invoice data between the member and various vendors. The GHX-Contract Center solution stores Premier activated contract information in GHX. This enables a three-way price validation (PO Price, Vendor Acknowledgement Price, and Contract Price)

  • Savings in IT cost of setting up multiple EDI connections to vendors
  • Ability to catch pricing discrepancies on the front end, saving time and money on the back end.
  • Ability to track orders, invoices, back orders, and price discrepancies in one dashboard
